The Bowdoin prizes for English dissertations by undergraduates have been awarded as follows: The first prize of $250 to G.A. England '03, for his essay on "English Petrarchism;" and the second prize of $200 to L. Ward '03, for his essay on "Maurice Hewlitt." The prize for an English dissertation by a graduate will not be awarded this year, as no essay presented was found to have sufficient merit. The prizes for Greek and Latin dissertations will be announced later.
