NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The second nine will play its first game of the season with Melrose High School this afternoon at 4 o'clock on Soldiers Field.

The second squad was formed on February 23 with twenty-four men. Under Coach Frantz and Captain Clarkson the men practiced fielding grounders, double plays, sliding and running bases, and had daily batting practice under Chesbro and Keller. Improvement was steady and satisfactory, and the squad was disbanded on March 4.

Yesterday afternoon the men were called out again, and the practice was fairly good.

The batting order today will be as following: Garceau, s.s.; Greenough, r.f.; Paul, 1b.; Jackson, p.; Grant, 3b.; Colby, l.f.; Hamlin, c.; Spencer, c.f.; Burns, 2b.
