Yesterday afternoon, in the third round of the tennis tournament, Niles '09 and Cutler '09 defeated Coleman 1L. and Auchincloss 3L. 6-2, 6-2. Niles and Cutler played a much steadier game than their opponents, and won most of their points through accurate placing. At times Auchincloss served very well, but he was entirely unable to cover his court. Coleman made a number of good returns, but he could not place them out of the reach of Niles and Cutler. Niles's service was effective throughout the match, and both he and Cutler returned well, their shots at the net being especially well placed.

The semi-finals will be played this afternoon at 3 as follows:

Sulloway 2L. and Cole 2L. vs. Stackpole '07 and Eaton '07; Niles '09 and Cutler '09 vs. Roche '09 and Harriman '09.
