In an unexpectedly close hockey game in New York on Saturday, Columbia defeated Brown by the score of 3 to 2. At the end of the first half the score was 2 to 2. In the second half the defensive tactics of both teams were very sharp, and Columbia shot the winning goal after ten minutes of play.

The standing of the teams in the Intercollegiate Hockey Association is given below. The last game of the round-robin series, which will probably decide the intercollegiate championship, will be played between Harvard and Yale on February 18 at the St. Nicholas Rink, New York.   Played.  Won.  Lost.
