The Harvard Club of New York City are remodelling the interior of their club-house at 27 West 44th street and are building a six story addition which will more than treble the size of their former quarters. The entire building when completed will occupy a lot 200 feet deep by 50 feet broad extending through to 45th street.

Harvard Hall, a room slightly larger than the Living Room of the Union, and 45 feet in height, will be the chief feature of the new building. Modelled after an old English hall and finished in the English Renaissance style, the walls will be wainscoated in oak to a height of 15 feet and above that will be finished in Yorkshire stone. The room will contain two large stone fireplaces.

As remodelled there will be on the main floor of the club, in addition to Harvard Hall, an entrance hall and a large cafe. Above will be the library and several smaller rooms. With the exception of the sixth the remaining floors will be taken up by 23 bedrooms. On the sixth floor will be three squash courts with locker rooms and shower-baths.

The club is now occupying temporary quarters in the Bristol building at Fifth avenue and 42nd street, but it is expected that the new club-house will be ready for occupancy in April.
