Changes in Randall Hall.

The management of Randall Hall has recently made great efforts to improve the service which last year aroused much criticism and caused such a falling-off in membership that the hall can behind on expenses.

The hall now employs 60 professional servants and 90 students,--a staff which could serve 1300 men almost as easily as the present average of 800 per meal. To invite a larger membership the entrance fee for the second half-year has been temporarily reduced from $3 to $1.50.

The a la carte bill is now twice as long as it was last year, and there are also two combinations for each meal,--breakfasts at 11 and 16 cents, lunches at 16 and 20 cents, and dinners at 17 and 25 cents.

As Randall Hall has been in operation only about five years, it has not been necessary to renew any of the equipment, but the entire plant has lately been thoroughly cleaned and renovated.

At present about 1010 students eat in Randall Hall and pay on an average $2.60 per week. This low rate is due to the fact that men pay only for what they eat and so lose nothing when they take a meals elsewhere.
