Rev. Elwood Worcester, D.D., rector of Emmanuel Church, Boston, will deliver an address on "Faith" this evening at 7 o'clock in the Noble Room, Phillips Brooks House, under the auspices of the St. Paul's Society.
Dr. Worcester came to Boston last year from Philadelphia, where he had been rector of St. Stephen's Church since 1896. Previous to that time he had been successively assistant at St. Anne's Church, Brooklyn, and professor of philosophy at Lehigh University. He received the degree of Ph.D. at Leipzig in 1889 and the degree of D.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1899. He is the author of "Religious Opinions of John Locke," "What We Know About Genesis in the Light of Modern Science," and "The Book of Genesis in the Light of Modern Knowledge."
The lecture will be open to members of the University.
