Stevens 2nd Lost Lacrosse with 1908

Saturday afternoon the Freshman lacrosse team defeated the Stevens Institute freshmen in a well played game by a score of 2 to 0. The victory of the Freshmen was due chiefly to their strong defense, although they were slightly superior to their opponents both in stick work and team play. In the first half Barber made the only goal on a pass from Vance after about 10 minutes of playing. In the second half Barber made another goal for the Freshmen after he had secured the ball from a scrimmage. Errors of judgment destroyed the only chances which Stevens had for scoring in this half. Francis. Barber and Dwelley did the best work for the Freshmen; for Stevens, Sturken and Yeemans played well.
