YARD ROOM ALLOTMENTS

Juniors Given Preference in Holworthy, Hollis and Stoughton Halls.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

At the last meeting of the Corporation it was voted that preference in Holworthy, Hollis and Stoughton Halls be given to the class of 1907 for the academic year 1906-07 under the following conditions:

That all men of the present Junior, Sophomore and Freshman classes, now rooming in Holworthy, Hollis or Stoughton Halls, can retain their rooms if desired.

That an early allotment of rooms in Holworthy, Hollis and Stoughton Halls shall be held in order to allow all students of the class of 1907, who fail to obtain rooms in these three dormitories, a chance to retain their former rooms.

That preference shall be given to groups of four, three and two applications respectively.

That all men who are socially with the class of 1907, whether or not they are so ranked, be considered as Juniors in the allotment.

Several Seniors in Holworthy, Hollis and Stoughton Halls have already taken advantage of the opportunity offered them by the Corporation of retaining the same rooms in the academic year 1906-07. Because of this the Corporation does not see its way clear to refuse any others who wish to retain their rooms in these three dormitories. It is hoped, therefore, that all Seniors now rooming in Holworthy, Hollis and Stoughton Halls will give up their rooms in order to give the class of 1907 the same privileges which former Senior classes have held.

Circulars will be issued at an early date to the men now rooming in Holworthy, Hollis and Stoughton Halls, urging them to replay, whether or not they intend to keep their rooms, in order to allow the Bursar sufficient time to carry out the plans of an early allotment.

Papers for an early allotment will be ready about February 15; and the allotment will be made about February 21.
