Candidates for the University basketball team will be called out November 26, and the class series will begin as soon after that as possible. At the completion of this series, the University squad will be picked. There will be no Christmas trips this year. Scrub games for men who do not make the University squad will be held after the mid-year period, and prizes will be given to the members of the winning team.
E. L. Burnham '07, who has played two years on the University team, is captain this year. Three of last year's team, H. V. Amberg '07, I. S. Broun '08 and P. Brooks '09, are eligible, so the prospects for the team are very bright.
The Intercollegiate Basketball Association, of which the University is a member, met last Saturday night in New York. Except for a few minor changes the rules will be the same as last year.
