The track in the Stadium was in use yesterday for the first time this year, and a larger number of candidates than usual reported.
Although fairly hard in the middle and on the outside edge, it has been necessary to place large beams along the pole to keep the men from using this portion.
No hurdling has yet been tried upon the track, since it is still too soft to give sufficient spring. If the frost does not set in, hurdles will probably be placed on the track the first of next week.
