PRACTICE ENTIRELY SECRET

Long Preliminary Drill Followed by Signal Practice.--No Scrimmage.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Yesterday's football practice for the University squad was, like Monday's entirely secret. There was no scrimmage but the men were given a long, hard preliminary drill, consisting of the usual breaking through, punting, catching punts and tackling. In the signal practice, the new plays were run through and much attention was given to the signals themselves.

All the injured men but Burr were on the field, although Newhall and Starr were not in uniform. There has been some talk of Lockwood's being on probation, but at the meeting of the Administrative Board yesterday it was definitely decided that he was not.

The last open practice of the year will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon.

Tomorrow afternoon the team will go to the Norfolk Hunt Club in Medfield. On Friday morning the men will come to Cambridge for lectures, after which they will return to the Hunt Club for practice. They will reach Cambridge on the morning of the game about 10 o'clock.
