In the final game of the scrub hockey series Thayer defeated the Lemons in the Stadium yesterday afternoon by a score of 2 to 1. The ice was in very poor condition because of the snow, and any team work and fast playing was impossible.
In the first half Thayer had the advantage, keeping the puck in their opponents' territory almost all the time. At the end of the half each team had scored one goal. Dunning shot a second goal for Thayer early in the next half, but during the rest of the game the play was more even, and no further scoring resulted.
The summary:
Score--Thayer, 2; Lemons, 1. Goals Dunning 2, Little. Referee--S. Ford '09. Timekeeper--H. Barton '09. Time--15minute halves.
