Yale Defeated Dartmouth, 2 to 1

NEW HAVEN, MAY 8.--Yale defeated Dartmouth in baseball here today in an eleven inning game by the score of 2 to 1. The game was a pitcher's battle between Meyer and Skillen, in which the former excelled; Skillen struck out six men to Meyer's three, and both gave one base on balls, but Skillen allowed nine hits, while Meyer only allowed three. Yale scored first in the third inning on a hit and two errors. The winning run was scored in the eleventh inning on Church's two-bagger and Sweeney's single. The feature of the game was three fast double plays by Yale.
