Pictures Placed in Langdell Hall

Five large portraits of past and present men, prominent in the faculty of the Law School, have been hung upon the walls of the main reading room of Langdell Hall. The portraits are those of Dean C. C. Langdell '51, for whom the new building is named, Dean J. B. Ames '68, present executive of the law faculty, and Professors J. B. Thayer '52, J. C. Gray '59 and J. Smith '56. The pictures of Professor Gray and Professor Smith are new and were recently presented by the Law School Association; the others were formerly hung in Austin Hall. The famous collection of over 200 engravings of English jurists is also being moved from Austin Hall to the new building, where there is plenty of space, and much greater safety from injury.
