SECRET WORK ON YALE FIELD

Burr May Not Play.--Graduates Coach Team.--Last Practice Today.

FARMINGTON, CONN., Nov. 19.--Eleven of the squad, accompanied by Coaches Haughton, Daly, Kernan and Kersburg, went to New Haven this morning, and held an hour's secret practice on Yale Field this afternoon. The work consisted mainly of punting and catching kicks. Despite recent rains the field is in satisfactory condition, and fast playing is possible. The men took lunch at the training table of the Yale team.

R. W. P. Brown '98, a former coach of the second team, and M. L. Newhall '08, for two years quarterback on the University eleven, arrived today and aided in the coaching. It is still doubtful whether or not Captain Burr will be in condition to start the game Saturday. He went to New Haven in the morning and practiced punts, but his arm is still weak. The men who remained in Farmington took a long walk in the morning, and in the afternoon practiced kicking and had a short signal practice at the Country Club. There will be a short signal practice again on Yale Field tomorrow.
