1909 CLASS OFFICERS ELECTED

Burr First Marshal.--Election of Secretary and Committees Wednesday.

The election of Senior Class and Class Day officers, with the exception of Secretary, was held yesterday and resulted as follows:

First Marshal--Francis Hardon Burr, of Chestnut Hill.

Second Marshal -- Lawrence Kirby Lunt, of Colorado Springs, Col.

Third Marshal--Edward Putnam Currier, of Wellesley Hills.

Treasurer--John Mansfield Groton, of Philadelphia, Pa.

Ivy Orator--Phineas McCray Henry, of Des Moines, Ia.

Orator--Edward Tubbs Wentworth, of Batavia, N. Y.

Poet--Robert Emmons Rogers, of Cambridge.

Odist--Harford Willing Hare Powel, Jr., of Newport, R. I.

Chorister--Philip Greeley Clapp, of Roxbury.

The election of Marshals was conducted under the following rule:

"Every elector shall vote for three candidates for Marshals, indicating his preference for First Marshal. Of the three elected, that candidate receiving the highest number of votes for First Marshal shall be declared First Marshal; of the other two elected, that one whose total vote is highest shall be Second Marshal, and the other one the Third Marshal."

Out of a total voting list of 697 men, 317 voted for Treasurer and Chorister, the two offices for which the largest number of votes was cast. At a meeting of the Senior Class Nominating Committee last night, the name of E. S. Allen was changed from the Photograph Committee to the Class Day Committee, and the following names were added to the list of nominees: Secretary--A. G. Cable; Class Committee--R. M. Middlemass, W. M. Rand, W. R. Severance; Class Day Committee--S. S. Ford, A. S. Olmsted, F. Schenck; Photograph Committee--R. Withington.
