THE FIRST FRESHMAN SMOKER.

The first Freshman smoker of the year will be held this evening. It will give opportunity for the first-year men to get an idea of what their class really contains. There are various elements in every class which do not come in contact except through some such means as a smoker. Before these elements become too firmly fixed in their particular interests, it is well to mix them up together as thoroughly as possible and give the other man a broader idea of what the first year of University life should mean. Let every Freshman take it upon himself as his first act of duty to the class of 1912 to go to the smoker and thus help to make it successful.
