NEW HAVEN, Feb. 28, 1908.--The University basketball team was again defeated by Yale tonight by the score of 16 to 12. The game was fast and clean throughout, few fouls being called on either side. The work of the University team was by far the best of the season and was a considerable improvement over its playing in the first Yale game. Van Vleck was easily the best player on the floor; he shot four baskets from the floor and threw three from fouls. Brooks and Browne were strong on the defense and currie's basket-shooting was accurate.

After tying the score at the end of the first half, 6 to 6, the University team drew ahead in the second half on a goal from the floor by Wyman. Van Vleck, however, soon tied the score again, and the lead alternated until near the end of the half, when several substitutes were put in for Harvard. Yale then established a lead which she held to the end.
