At a special meeting of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences held last evening it was voted that "This Faculty, believing that the present frequency of intercollegiate games is injurious to the scholarly interests of which it has charge, urgently recommends to the Committee on the Regulation of Athletic Sports that it shall seek, by means of agreement with competing colleges, or otherwise, to reduce considerably in the coming year the programs of intercollegiate contests."

The vote supplements in a way an expression of opinion passed by the Faculty two months ago, as follows: "That in the opinion of this Faculty the number of intercollegiate contests should be largely reduced."
