Professor J. B. Bury, M.A., Litt, D., LL.D., Regius Professor of Modern History at the University of Cambridge, will lecture on "Thucydides" in the Lecture Room of the Fogg Art Museum this evening at 8 o'clock. This is the third of his course of six lectures on "The Ancient Greek Historians," delivered under the auspices of the Department of Classics through the generosity of Mr. Gardiner M. Lane '81.
Professor Bury's two previous lectures have been especially interesting. This was particularly the case in his lecture on "Herodotus" delivered Wednesday evening, when he emphasized the significance of his historical contributions, showing that he was the first to discern the possibilities of modern history.
The lectures are open to the public.
