The University baseball team will play the University of Vermont on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 3 o'clock in the second scheduled game of the season, although the first real game, as that with Wesleyan on Wednesday had to be cancelled. H. A. A. tickets and season tickets admit, and admission tickets may be purchased at the entrance at 50 cents each.

The game this afternoon will complete Vermont's southern trip which began on April 1. The team has already played seven games, but has won only one. Defeated by Fordham 6 to 1, Seton Hall 2 to 1, Villanova 8 to 6, and Pennsylvania 3 to 2 on Tuesday, the team managed to win one game with Lehigh, 4 to 1, and to tie with Villanova, 9 to 9.

Last year Harvard, with Slater and Greene in the box, defeated Vermont 11 to 6. Today the opposing team presents the same battery as last year, but, with the exception of the short stop and first baseman, is made up entirely of new men. The University team will have the same batting order as was announced for Wednesday.

Vermont held practice yesterday afternoon on the Freshman diamond.

The batting orders: HARVARD.  VERMONT. Leonard, 3b.  2b., Collison Keefe, 2b.  s.s., Gardner Briggs, 1b.  c., Burrington Simons, s.s.  p., Collins Lanigan, l.f.  3b., Paquet Aronson, c.f.  l.f., McConnell Waters, r.f.  c.f., Haynes Currier, c.  1b., Watkins Slater, Hicks, p.  r.f., Smith
