The following matches were played yesterday in the trials for the University tennis team: G. C. Adams '10 defeated P. Grant '08, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3; W. H. Y. Hackett '08 defeated M. T. Ackerland '09, 6-4, 6-4; W. H. Y. Hackett '08 defeated G. C. Adams '10, 3-6, 7-5, 6-4. Hackett will play Adams again this afternoon at 2 o'clock and the winner will be the sixth member of the University team, which at present is made up of F. Cutting '09, A. S. Dabney '09, N. W. Niles '09, E. P. Pearson '09, and C. C. Pell '08.
In the only match of the interclass tennis tournament played yesterday W. B. Fraser-Campbell '11 defeated C. P. Aiken '11, 6-1, 6-0. The following matches will be played today: 1909--N. W. Niles vs. M. T. Ackerland at 2. 1910--G. C. Adams vs. H. Peters at 3. 1911--E. M. Ach vs. H. Nickerson at 11: W. B. Fraser-Campbell vs. A. Sweetser at 2.
