The newly organized Harvard Aeronautical Society will give a cinematographic exhibit entitled "Man On the Wing" in Brattle Hall tomorrow evening at 8 o'clock. Over 3000 feet of films, showing flights of well-known aeronauts, will be used in this exhibit. Tickets are now on sale at Amee's at 50 cents each. All charter members will be admitted free upon showing their membership cards.
As the charter membership list closes on December 12, all those desiring to join the society should attend this meeting. The management announces that all members of the University who have signed the membership list but have not yet procured cards will receive them upon sending the $2 entrance fee to A. Sweetser '11, 26 Dana Hall, Cambridge. Any member of the University purchasing a ticket to the exhibit, will be allowed to became a charter member of the society, provided $1.50 is sent to the above address before December 12.
The society further announces that just before the exhibit a statement will be made in regard to the experimental sections which are to start work immediately. Three sections will be organized, two to work with gliders and another to carry on experiments with the gas engine. Professor I. N. Hollis h.'99 will have charge of the glider sections and Professor E. R. Markham will conduct the work on the gas engines. No technical knowledge will be required of those joining the working sections and members will be advanced purely on grounds of interest and efficiency. By a special arrangement pilot licenses will be granted to those fulfilling certain requirements.
