A celebration of the centenary of the birth of Oliver Wendell Holmes '29 will be held in Sanders Theatre on Tuesday evening, April 27, at 7.45 o'clock. This celebration will be conducted under the auspices of the Cambridge Historical Society and the meeting, while it will be open to the public, is intended especially for graduates of the Medical School who were pupils when Dr. Holmes was a professor of anatomy and physiology in that institution.
President Eliot will preside, and brief addresses will be made by Dr. Edward Waldo Emerson '66, of Concord, Colonel Thomas Wentworth Higginson '41, Dr. David Williams Cheever '52, of the Harvard Medical School, and Rev. Samuel McChord Crothers h.'99, of Cambridge.
