The trial matches for the University tennis team played yesterday on Jarvis Field resulted as follows: R.M. Gardiner '09 defeated E.W. Ellis '11, 6-3, 6-8, 8-6; E.M. Ach '11 defeated F.H. Hall '10, 8-6, 1-6, 6-3; G.C. Adams '10 defeated E.L. Beard '10, 7-5, 8-6.
The following matches have been arranged for today: at 10 o'clock, R.H. Eggleston '09 vs. F.A.B. Washburn '09, winner to play E.M. Ach '11; at 4 o'clock, H. Nickerson '11 vs. E.L. Beard '10. The following matches must be played on Jarvis Field at 2.30 o'clock unless otherwise arranged: R.M. Gardiner '09 vs. H. Peters '10, G.C. Adams '10 vs. A. Sweetser '11, G.G. Browne '10 vs. J.D. Foot '10.
Scores must be left in the CRIMSON Office before 7 o'clock. Men who are defeated are not necessarily dropped, and should watch the CRIMSON for further notice.
