The Board of Overseers has recently confirmed the appointment of Professor T. Lyman '97, A.M., Ph.D., as Director of the Jefferson Physical Laboratory for the year beginning September 1, 1910. Professor Lyman was an assistant in Physics from the year of his graduation until 1902, and for the next five years he was an instructor in the same subject. Since 1907 he has been an assistant professor of Physics.
Professor W. J. Cunningham, assistant professor of Transportation, was appointed by the Board of Overseers, his appointment to take effect from September 1, 1910. Mr. Cunningham has been a lecturer on railroad operation for the past two years.
