The Freshman football team defeated Worcester Academy at Worcester Saturday by the score of 17 and 0. This is the first victory that a Freshman team has won from Worcester Academy in six years. The Harvard team was much the heavier and faster, and followed the ball better all through the game. Whitney and Calran played the best game for Worcester, the former, especially, doing well on the defensive. Whitney also got away some long punts. Chatfield did excellent work for the Freshmen. He ran 60 yards through a broken field on a kick-off to Worcester's 30-yard line and at another time made 45 yards on a tackle play.

In the first period, Bliss and Milholland each tried for a field-goal, and both attempts barely missed, Bliss's striking one of the uprights and Milholland's falling short by only a few inches.

Harvard scored in the second period. A forward pass, O'Brien to Howard, gained 25 yards. Shortly afterward O'Brien went over the goal-line for a touchdown on a play around left end. Gardiner missed the goal. On the next kick-off Chatfield ran 60 yards through a broken field from his own 10-yard line. Freedley made a touchdown soon after on a long end run. In the third period Chatfield went through left tackle for 45 yards and a touchdown. Gardiner kicked the goal. In the last period Calran's knee was injured, and McClellan was substituted for him. Milholland made another attempt at a drop-kick from the 25-yard line, but it was blocked.
