Freshmen vs. Groton Tomorrow

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Practice for the Freshman football squad was stiff yesterday afternoon. It included the usual drill in running down under punts and practice in breaking through for Squad A were coached in the forward pass. A short blackboard talk by Coach Dewey for the first string men was followed by a period of work on the dummies. Then the team was drilled in formations, the players simply walking through the plays. After a snappy signal practice, a stiff twenty five minute scrimmage was held in which the men showed good form and speed.

The first game will be played tomorrow, when the team plays the Groton School at Groton. Last year's Freshman team defeated Groton by an 8 to 2 score. The school team this year is made up largely of new men while most of the veterans are now playing of the Freshman team. It is expected that the Freshmen will make a very good showing tomorrow as a result of the hard training of the last week.
