Sophomores Defeated Freshmen and Juniors Won From Seniors in Yesterday's Tennis.

In the first round of the interclass tennis tournament played yesterday, the Sophomores defeated the Freshmen, winning six out of the nine matches played, while the Junior defeated the Seniors by five matches to three.

The round for the class championship between the Juniors and the Sophomores has been postponed until next Monday.

The matches played yesterday resulted as follows:

Smith '13 defeated F. C. Gray '12, 6-1, 6-0; R. Tunis '13 defeated R. M. Marble '12, 6-2, 6-2; A. M. Hyde '13 defeated G. Sturgis '12, 8-6, 6-2; E. H. Whitney '14 defeated W. M. Washburn '15, 2-6, 8-6, 6-0; E. R. Hastings '14 defeated G. M. Gates '15, 6-2, 6-2; J. C. Devereux '14 defeated J. C. Jennings '15, 6-1, 6-1; E. H. Woods '14 defeated D. Kimball '15, 7-5, 6-4; E. S.
