The State elections and the voting on the proposed new Cambridge charter will take place at the polls today between 6 and 4.30 o'clock. L. A. Frothingham, of Boston, the Republican candidate for governor in opposition to Governor Foss, is a Harvard graduate of the class of '93. Robert Luce '82, Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and J. M. Swift '97, Republican candidate for Attorney-General, are also Harvard men prominent in today's elections.
Professor L. J. Johnson '87, Mr. A. W. Holcombe '06, and Mr. J. R. Nichols '06, all members of the University Faculty are the chief originators of the proposed Cambridge charter, which embodies a number of radical changes from the one now in use.
