Electric Lighting on Class Day

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Class Day Committee has decided this year for the first time in the history of the University to light the Yard and the Delta around Memorial Hall by electricity on Class Day. Electricity will also be used for lighting the Senior Spread on the evening before Class Day. As usual, there will be 4,500 lights, of which number 3,500 will be electric. The globes of the lights will not be left exposed, but will be put in Japanese lanterns, so that the artistic effect will not be diminished.

Last year showers extinguished the lanterns, leaving the Yard in darkness. All such danger will be avoided by the new arrangement.
