The 1911 Senior Picnic will take place on Friday, June 2. On that date all cuts will be excused for Seniors not on probation. The parade, headed by the band of the First Corps Cadets, will start shortly after 8 o'clock. Special cars will then convey picnicers and band to Atlantic avenue. There all will embark for Peddock's Island; the first refreshments (liquid) will be served on the "King Philip," which will reach Peddock's Island in the middle of the forenoon. The program of sports will begin at once. Details will be announced later. Among other amusements will be baseball on an excellent diamond, various track events, including a sack-race, and water-sports of all kinds. Seniors who expect to take part in the last-named field of endeavor must provide themselves with some sort of bathing suits or tights.
A copious luncheon and clam-chowder will be served in the middle of the day, and then the land-and-water sports will be continued. The return trip, also by the steamer "King Philip" and special cars, will be made in time to arrive in Cambridge between 6.30 and 7 o'clock.
Caps in the class colors, horns, badges, and tin cups will be given out to ticket holders on the day before the picnic. It is especially urged that Seniors buy their tickets as soon as possible, as an estimate of the number that are going must be made. Only a few more tickets can be sold after this estimate has been sent in to the caterers. Tickets at 50 cents each are now on sale at the Union, Memorial Hall, Leavitt & Peirce's, and from members of the committee.
