The Boston Symphony Orchestra will give the first of a series of eight concerts in Sanders Theatre this evening at 8 o'clock, under the direction of Max Friedler. Miss Edith Thompson will be the soloist. The program will be as follows: Schumann, Overture to Byron's "Manfred"; Schumann, Symphony in E-flat major, No. 3, "Rhenish"; Cesar Franck, Symphonic Variations for Pianoforte and Orchestra; Sibelius, Symphonic Poem, "En Saga"; Weber, Overture to "Oberon."
Tickets for the entire series may be secured at $7 each at Kent's University Bookstore. The dates for the remaining concerts are: November 17, December 15, January 19, February 9, March 2, March 30, and April 27.
