HARD PRACTICE COMPLETED

SECOND TEAM SCORED ON FIRST IN LAST SCRIMMAGE BEFORE BROWN GAME.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Preparations has been practically completed for the game with Brown tomorrow afternoon. Yesterday's work consisted mainly of a long and detailed signal drill, following which there was a short scrimmage of thirty minutes. While team A and the seconds were lined up against one another there was no scoring, the University team being kept on the defensive most of the time, but when team B went in the seconds sprung a surprise in the way of an old trick forward pass and made a touchdown which proved to be the only score of the afternoon. The pass was from Blake to McCall and worked so successfully that the latter had no one near him on his 40-yard run to the goal.

Though he has taken part regularly in the signal drills, Captain Wendell has not yet returned to the scrimmages, and it is rather doubtful whether he will play against Brown tomorrow. Lingard took his place yesterday in the scrimmage. Driscoll, who played guard in the early season games until injured, has done some scrimmaging during the week but will probably not play tomorrow, Trumbull taking his place. It was announced yesterday at practice that Hollister is now eligible to play on the team and he will undoubtedly be given some work in the remaining games of the schedule.

The line-up of team A yesterday was as follows: Felton, Milholland, l.e.; Storer, l.t.; Pennock, l.g.; Paramenter, c.; Trumbull, r.g.; Hitchcock, r.t.; Coolidge, O'Brien, r.e.; Gardner, Bradley, q.b.; Hardwick, l.h.b.; Lingard, r.h.b.; Brickley, f.b.
