END OF OLD STADIUM BRIDGE

Will be Demolished as Soon as Temporary Foot-Bridge is Completed.

Rapid progress is being made on the new Stadium Bridge, on which work was begun last Thursday. Piles, extending half way across the river, have been driven to support the temporary footbridge, which will be located about 50 yards upstream from the present structure. With the completion of this footbridge within two weeks, the old bridge will be wrecked and three huge pile-drivers will be set to work immediately. The new structure will be erected and ready for use in eight months.

The contract for the bridge is being executed by the Holbrook, Cabot & Rollns Company, a large bridge building concern of Boston.
