Professor Rugo de Vries, professor of Botany in the University of Amsterdam, Holland, will deliver four Lowell Institute lectures on "The Evolution of Plants." The first lecture will be given in Huntington Hall, 491 Boylston street, tomorrow at 5 o'clock.
Professor de Vries is the author of "The Origin of Species by Mutation" and of other books on botany. Tickets may be secured, free of charge, by writing to the Curator of the Lowell Institute, 491 Boylston street, Boston, and enclosing one stamped, addressed envelope for each ticket desired.
The dates and titles of the lectures are as follows: November 30, "Experimental Evolution" (at 5 o'clock). December 2, "Horticultural Plant Breeding" (at 5 o'clock). December 3, "Mutations in Evening Primroses" (at 8 o'clock). December 4, "Migration and Adaption of Plants" (at 8 o'clock).
