Spectrum of New Star is Unique

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Professor Edward C. Pickering has discovered through a photograph taken at the Harvard Astronomical Laboratory that the hydrogen line on the spectrum of the new star discovered by Professor Errebo at Dombaas. Norway shows dark instead of the usual bright yellow.

If this dark line continues it will form the basis of a new star theory, and perhaps upset some of the existing theories concerning the origin and composition of stars. Professor Pickering stated that "because the star had not been seen before it must not be taken that it has just been formed. It is several hundred years old beyond a doubt. The equation of light is such that it takes that long for the rays to come that distance to the earth."
