"THE LAW AS A PROFESSION"

DEAN THAYER WILL LAY SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON PRELIMINARY TRAINING.

Professor E. R. Thayer '88, Dean of the Law School, will give the third of a series of lectures on the professions in the Living Room of the Union, this evening, at 8.15 o'clock, taking as his subject "The Law as a Profession". He will lay special emphasis on the preliminary training from the undergraduate's standpoint. This lecture will be open to all members of the University.

Dean Thayer graduated from Harvard College in 1888, and from the Law School in 1891. He was a member of the law firm of Story, Thorndike, Palmer and Thayer, from 1900 until 1910, when he was appointed Dane Professor of Law and Dean of the Law School.
