Two runs in the first inning gave the University second team enough of a lead to defeat the Holy Cross second on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon by a score of 3 to 2. Hitchcock's pitching was excellent. He struck out 11 men, and allowed but 2 bases on balls and 6 hits.
