G. B. Kayser '14, of Boston, and O. Williams '14, of Milton, won the first College tennis championship in doubles, the final match, which was to have been played yesterday, being defaulted by C. S. Cutting '12 and E. H. Whitney '14. The new College doubles tournament will be held annually and each of the winners will receive a championship cup as a prize.
Semi-finals in Singles.
The last semi-final match in the interclass tennis tournament will be played on Jarvis Field this afternoon at 2 o'clock, when C. S. Cutting '12 will meet A. J. Lowrey '13. The winner will play E. H. Whitney '14 in the final match for the championship next week.
Massachusetts State Tennis.
Entries for the nineteenth annual tournament for the tennis singles championship of Massachusetts will close Saturday at 4 o'clock with Richard Bishop '01, 1569 Beacon street, Brookline. Matches will begin on Monday at the Longwood Cricket Club. The entrance fee is one dollar.
