Candidates for the University soccer team will be called out as soon as the weather becomes milder. Preliminary practice will be held behind the Hemenway Gymnasium. Captain Barron and Coach Burgess hope for an early start in practice because of the particularly hard season ahead of the University team.

Coach Burgess will have charge of the squad again this year. He has played on winning soccer teams in England and Scotland, so that he has a thorough and practical knowledge of the game.

The University team this spring will play Yale, Columbia, Pennsylvania, Cornell, Haverford, Brown, and possibly Princeton. Besides these intercollegiate games, Harvard will also play the Springfield Training School as well as several local teams.
