The University tennis team was beaten 10 to 1 by the Longwood Club yesterday. Washburn and Whitney, in the doubles, won the only match for Harvard. The University players put up a good game, but were outclassed by the Longwood team, which was headed by Beals C. Wright.

Singles--B. C. Wright defeated E. H. Whitney '14, 6-0, 7-5; R. C. Seaver defeated W. M. Washburn '15, 9-7, 6-4; A. S. Dabney defeated E. R. Hastings, Jr., '15, 6-2, 6-1; R. Bishop defeated E. H. Woods '14, 6-1, 6-2; H. C. Johnson defeated A. J. Lowrey '13, 6-1, 6-2; G. P. Gardner defeated J. C. Devereux '14, 7-5, 2-6, 6-4; F. H. Harris defeated O. Williams '14, 6-2, 6-3.
Doubles--Washburn '15 and Whitney '14, defeated Gardner and Dabney, 2-6, 6-4, 6-3; B. C. Wright and I. R. Wright defeated Woods '14 and Lowrey '13, 6-1, 6-3; Johnson and Bishop defeated Hastings '14 and Devereux '14, 6-4, 6-2; Seaver and Putnam defeated Williams '14 and Kayser '14, 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.
Dartmouth Match Today.
The University tennis team will play Dartmouth on Jarvis Field this afternoon at 3 o'clock. There will be four singles and two doubles matches. The following men will represent the University.
Singles.--1, E. H. Whitney '14; 2, W. M. Washburn '15; 3, E. R. Hastings, Jr., '14; 4, E. H. Woods '14.
Doubles.--1, E. H. Whitney '14 and W. M. Washburn '15; 2, E. H. Woods '14 and A. J. Lowrey '13.
