Exeter Now Holds Trophy.--Promising Meet in Spite of Conflicts.

The twenty-eighth annual Harvard Interscholastic track meet will be held in the Stadium under the auspices of the University track management next Saturday afternoon. Exeter, as a result of her victory last year now holds the trophy which is offered by the Boston Athletic' Association and Harvard graduates. It is to be regretted that unavoidable circumstances made it necessary to hold the meet the week after instead of the week before the Intercollegiate as has been the custom in former years. As a result, the meet conflicts with the annual games of the Boston High School Track and Field League, which will be held Saturday at Wood Island, with the Suburban League meet at Tufts Oval, and with the national interscholastic meet, at Traverse Island, New York. As a result, some of the leading school-boy athletes in this section of New England will be unable to enter the national championships at Traverse Island. Likewise some of the school-boy stars in other sections of the country will be unable to complete here. The meet, however, promises to be a success, for Exeter, Andover, Worcester Academy, Noble's and the other leading schools will be represented by strong teams. Tickets at 50 cents each will be on sale at Leavitt & Peirce's.
