Two representatives each from the Debating Councils of Harvard, Yale and Princeton will confer in New Haven this afternoon on details of the 1914 triangular debating contests, Freshman and University, which have now become annual occurrences between the three Universities. Judge A. P. Stone '93 and R. L. West '14 will represent the University at the meeting in the Hotel Taft.
The purpose of the meeting is to arrange the subject and the dates. The subject will be selected by a preferential ballot on six proposals, two from each University. The University triangular debates were inaugurated in 1907 and the Freshman debates in 1911.
Trials for the two University teams--one against Yale and one against Princeton--will be held immediately after the mid-year examinations and the debate will take place in April. The subject will be announced next week.
