SECONDS WIN BY LINE PLUNGING

Easily Defeat Light Wellesley High School Team, 28 to 7.

The University second football team beat the light Wellesley High School team in a rather one-sided game yesterday afternoon at Wellesley, by the score of 28 to 7.

Although the Wellesley team was much lighter than the seconds, they succeeded in making numerous long gains, by playing an open game and making frequent use of, the forward pass.

The seconds made their chief gains by consistent line-bucking, and by constantly following the ball. Twice Townsend broke through the line, blocking kicks, and once Seaver did the same. On all three occasions the seconds recovered the ball, thus helping materially in placing them in a position to score.

Woodruff also played a consistent game, making many good gains through the line, and twice scoring a touchdown.

The seconds' line-up follows: l.e., Seaver, Bradley; l.t., Townsend; l.g., Leighton, Baker; c., Guimaraes, Day; r.g., Brown, Coffin; r.t., Strauss; r.e., Stanton; q.b., Doherty, Cottrell; l.h.b., Gesumpsky; r.h.b., Ellison, Selden; f.b., Woodruff, Carter.
