EXTRA COURSES OF WIDE APPEAL

Interesting Studies Now Being Pursued at Phillips Brooks House.

A number of courses of extra-curriculum study are now getting under way at Phillips Brooks House. One is a study of the books of the New Testament under Professor J. W. Platner. Plans for this course are now being outlined and all interested in Bible study are urged to attend.

A series of lectures and discussions for undergraduates expecting to study medicine is also planned, to be held Thursday evenings at 7 o'clock, beginning next week. These meetings will be addressed by eminent physicians and surgeons who will present the ideals of the profession in concise half-hour talks. All those who desire to enroll for this course of lectures should communicate with J. C. Manry or L. A. Morgan at Phillips Brooks House.

Another extremely interesting course, and one which proved very successful last year is Dr. Frederic Palmer's study of the life of Christ, which will meet on Tuesday evenings. Many other groups are also being planned to meet under the leadership of professors and graduates at times and places which will be announced later.

Of special interest to Freshmen is Dr. Fitch's Bible class which will meet for the first time next Monday evening at 7 o'clock in the Parlor of Phillips Brooks House. 'All Freshmen should try to attend this first meeting, for Dr. Fitch has made his class one which they can ill afford to miss, and which will bring them closer to the solution of undergraduate problems.
