The Freshman entrance figures show the same tendency which was noted in this column last year. There is a marked increase in men entering by the new plan, together with an increase of 70 in the total Freshman enrollment. There is also a gratifying decrease in men refused admission.
The new plan is making possible the entrance of public school men outside this state on a closer plane of equality with privately prepared men.
