Ex-president William H. Taft, now professor in law at Yale University, will deliver the second lecture of his series on "The Presidency: Its Powers, Duties, Responsibilities, and Limitations" in Langdell Centre this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Professor Taft delivered his first lecture yesterday afternoon, and was most heartily applauded by the scores of law students who crowded the room. Professor Taft devoted most of his time to a consideration of the legal aspects of the presidency, in view of the fact that his audience was composed of law students and instructors.
Among the subjects which he touched upon yesterday were the question of the length of the presidential term, the president's veto power, the executive functions of the president's office and the constitutional power of the president to convene and adjourn Congress.
