COUGH ICE BOTHERED SEVEN

But Players Showed Improvement in Team Play Saturday.--Scrimmage for Teams A and B

Teams A, B and C of the University hockey squad had a hard hour's practice at the Arena on Saturday afternoon from 5 to 6 o'clock. After drill in passing and shooting, Teams A and B lined up for a short practice game. The playing of the seven had noticeably improved since Friday and the game was hard-fought from start to finish. Team A won, 2 to 0, the goals being scored by Claflin on a long dash down the rink, and G. Town send, from a scrimmage in front of the goal. A. E. P. Morgan, who is not quite in condition as yet, took only a light practice and will probably be laid off for a day or so.

The ice in the Arena is steadily improving but is still very rough and uncertain. It should, however, be in good condition by the end of the week. Members of the University squad will be permitted to skate at the Arena at all times then it is open.

Teams A and B lined up as follows: TEAM A.  TEAM B. Curtis, Rice, l.w.  r.w., D. W. Patterson, H. M. Bliss Townsend, l.c.  r.c., E. O. Baker, Rumsey, R. S. Cook Baldwin, Trainer, r.c.  l.c., Allen Russel, Fisher, r.w.  l.w., Wanamaker Claflin, c.p.  c.p., Doty Bigelow, C. S. Clark, p.  p., P. M. Brown, Cunningham Gylde, g.  g., Harte, De Ford
